Tour Plan
Day 1 : Nairobi → Samburu National Reserve Depart Depart Nairobi in the morning, crossing the Equator and passing through diverse landscapes toward northern Kenya. Arrive at Samburu in time for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive to explore this rugged, semi-desert reserve — home to rare species found nowhere else. Dinner and overnight: Samburu Sopa Lodge / Samburu Serena Lodge (Meals: Lunch & Dinner)
Day 2 : Full Day in Samburu Spend the entire day exploring Samburu National Reserve. Look out for the Samburu Special Five — Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, and Gerenuk. You’ll also have opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and numerous plains game. Optional visit to a Samburu village for a cultural experience. Dinner and overnight: Samburu Serena Lodge / Ashnil Samburu Camp (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 3 : Samburu → Lake Nakuru National Park After breakfast, depart Samburu and drive south along the foothills of Mount Kenya, stopping briefly at Thomson Falls. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive around the “Pink Lake” famous for its flamingos and birdlife. Expect sightings of rhinos, giraffes, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge / Sarova Lion Hill Lodge / Mbweha Camp (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 4 : Lake Nakuru → Masai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, drive via the Great Rift Valley and Loita Plains toward the world-famous Masai Mara. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge and check in for lunch. Afternoon game drive to experience the start of your Mara adventure. Dinner and overnight: Mara Sopa Lodge / Keekorok Lodge (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 5 : Full Day Masai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, head out with picnic lunches for a full-day game drive across the vast plains of Masai Mara. Look for the Big Five — Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, and Rhinos — along with cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. Visit the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles, and optionally visit a Maasai village. Dinner and overnight: Mara Sopa Lodge / Keekorok Lodge (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 6 : Masai Mara → Nairobi Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. Check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving around 2:00 PM. Transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)
